Wicks Broadcast Solutions Introduces RateMinder™ Revenue Management Software

Reedsport, Oregon: Wicks Broadcast Solutions, LLC ("WBS"), the owner of Custom Business Systems International ("CBSI") and Datacount ("Datacount"), the two leading providers of radio traffic system software, announced today the acquisition of RateMinder™, a revenue management software system. RateMinder™ is specifically designed for the radio industry and allows station management to track inventory levels and trends, thereby enabling them to make better pricing decisions to help the station meet and exceed revenue goals. RateMinder™ is a sales proposal tool for creating more attractive packages while at the same time maximizing yield. RateMinder™ integrates a full range of sales proposal and management functions into one simple "paperless" system - giving account executives more control, flexibility, efficiency and productivity. RateMinder™ interfaces directly with the station's traffic and billing system as its source for inventory information.

In announcing the acquisition of RateMinder™, Pete D'Acosta, CEO of Wicks Broadcast Solutions, said "We are very excited to have the opportunity to acquire this new breakthrough system for revenue management. WBS is constantly on the lookout for additional supplemental products to provide to our wide customer base. Our 7,700 combined radio station customers at CBSI and Datacount will find RateMinder™ to be a superior, and greater revenue enhancing product, than competitive products in the marketplace."

WBS was formed to acquire and grow a group of service providers to the broadcast industry. WBS believes that the rapid changes in the radio industry, caused both by changing technology and consolidation, demand new solutions and greater resources. WBS currently owns CBSI, based in Reedsport OR., and Datacount, based in Opelika, AL. Both CBSI and Datacount develop, sell and support packaged computer-related software products to radio broadcasting companies. Their primary products are traffic and billing software systems. CBSI also sells and supports Digital Universe, a non-compressed digital audio software system.

WBS is an affiliate of The Wicks Group of Companies, L.L.C., a New York-based private investment firm specializing in communications, information and media businesses. Wicks currently owns or has owned radio and television broadcast stations, community newspapers, shopper publications, magazines, newsletters, an outdoor advertising company and an educational book publishing business.
