RCL Benziger, a CFM Religion Publishing Division Acquires Silver Burdett Ginn Religion
CINCINNATI, September 6, 2007-RCL Publishing LLC ("RCL Benziger"), a CFM Religion Publishing Group LLC division, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Silver Burdett Ginn Religion, a Scott Foresman imprint, from Pearson Education, a division of Pearson plc (NYSE: PSO) based in Upper Saddle River, NJ. Silver Burdett Ginn Religion will become an integral part of the recently-formed RCL Benziger. Terms were not disclosed.
Silver Burdett Ginn Religion has a long history of producing sound catechetical resources for the Catholic parish and school market that are easy to use and in conformity with the teaching of the Catholic Church. Since the first publication over 30 years ago, SBGR's successful sacrament programs We Celebrate the Eucharist and We Celebrate Reconciliation have sold more than 2.5 million copies. Silver Burdett Ginn Religion also publishes Blest Are We, the popular religion series for preschool though junior high children, along with faith formation materials for people of all ages.
