Heartland Publications, LLC Acquires Three Weekly Newspapers in Robeson County, North Carolina

Old Saybrook, CT—Heartland Publications, LLC today announced the acquisition of three weekly newspapers in Robeson County, North Carolina - The Red Springs Citizen, the St. Pauls Review and the Extra Slice. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The papers had been owned by Stewart McLeod, a Clayton resident who used to live in St. Pauls. McLeod will continue to own the Clayton News-Star.

Heartland also owns The Robesonian, a daily paper in Robeson County.

The Wicks Group is a New York based private equity firm focused on selected segments of the communications, information and media industries.
