Michael J. Tansey Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Wicks Medical Information, LLC
New York, N.Y., February 8, 2005 — The Wicks Group of Companies, L.L.C. ("Wicks") announced today that it has appointed Michael J. Tansey, former President and CEO of Medcases Inc., to be Chief Executive Officer of Wicks Medical Information, LLC ("WMI").
Matthew E. Gormly III, Managing Partner of Wicks, said, "We are very pleased to have Michael Tansey join our team at WMI. Having spent over 20 years in the medical information industry, Mike has a deep understanding of the market and strong leadership capabilities that will allow him to play an integral role in the growth of WMI, both through organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions."

Prior to his tenure at MedCases, Inc., Mr. Tansey worked for more than 10 years at the Thomson Corporation. Most recently, he served as Group CEO of Thomson Scientific and Healthcare, where he oversaw such businesses as ISI, Derwent, and Current Drugs. During this period, Mr. Tansey was responsible for strong organic EBITDA growth, the successful acquisition and integration of five businesses and the implementation of a group-wide customer focused reorganization.
WMI, an affiliate of Wicks, operates in the medical information services market and concentrates on growth by acquisition and development of companies in the medical education and publishing sectors focused on providing information to doctors, nurses, and other service providers in the healthcare industry.
